What's the importance of unit after a number while measuring the properties of a body?

"Unit", we use this term while measuring the properties of a body. It's mostly used in Physics and Mathematical Chemistry. Now a question cames on our mind that 'Why we should use unit? Can't we use only number without the unit?

Ya the question is logical but you can't use number without unit while publishing the properties of a body. Measurement means to compare something with an absolute thing( Here an important things is that the absolute thing by which we measure the properties of a body is not absolute for all observer it's relative to observer in order to understand this you have to learn Special Relativity. ). For example when we measure the length of a body we usually use the meter scale. Here we compare the body with the meter scale and get a number here the number means the length of the body in meter scale and we use "m" or "meter" term after the number. If I publish it without the unit only I can understand it any other one can't understand it or they can consider it in any other scale. They can use another unit to publish it. Now think if someone do so then what will happene.

An another thing is that every number without any unit can be proof as equal to each other but every number with an unit can never be proof to equal to each other. For example you can proof 1 + 1 = 3 or 2 + 2 = 5 or 3 + 3 = 7 or x + x = 2x + 1 by using The Number Theory. Let's see it.

1 + 1 = 2

1 + 1 = 2 - 52 + 52

= √(4 - 2.2.52 + (52)2) + 52

= √(4 - 10 + (52)2) + 52

=√(-6 + (52)2) + 52

=√(9 - 15 + (52)2) + 52

=√((3)2 - 2.3.52 + (52)2) + 52

=√(3 - 52)2 52

= 3 - 52 + 52

= 3

=> 1 + 1 = 3

Thus every number without any unit can be proved equal to each other but a number with an unit can never be. Because in the first time you only sum two numer which don't have any valu but in second time you sum 2m and 2m here you add a 2m long body with an another 2m log body and if you compare it with a meter scale you'll get 4m not 5m.

So while publishing the properties of a body it's very important to use unit otherwise any one can proof it as equal to any other number. Now thought that in your Physics or Chemistry class you get a challenge to solve a problem and you have successfully solve it but you haven't use unit after any number. Then your against person can proof your solution false by proof the numbers equal to other number or considering any other unit. Now thought what will happened then. An another things is that while doing the math of Physics or Chemistry if you don't use any unit you mayn't get the correct answer. Cause for the convenience of solve the problem you your ownself may proof a number as equal to other but won't understand that you have done it. For this every time you have to check your equations whether you have use it or not otherwise you mayn't be able to solve the problem in any way. Though if the greatest Mathematicians made equations without any unit then how we'll use them. If we solve our problems without any unit we won't be able to get the correct answer and you know that every invention os science directly or indirectly depend upon the Mathematics behind the invention. For example though about a rocket. If scientist made the machine of it by measuring them without any unit probably they will get a wrong solution and as the solution is wrong then the machine won't work properly instead it could cause any harmful thing. And we won't be able to reach at this position. We won't be able to reach moon, mars or many other place where we have gone. In the same way all of our invention will wrong. Now you can though how important unit is.

That's why Units are very important after a number while measuring the properties of a body.
